What is Seborrheic Keratosis?

Seborrheic keratoses are pigmented growths characterized by a scaly, warty, or waxy raised surface on the skin. They range in color, size, and shape, but often appear in clusters. Seborrheic keratosis happens when there is an overgrowth of keratinocytes, which are the most common type of skin cells.

Common Area Affected

Seborrheic keratosis is most commonly seen on the face, neck, chest or back.
